Redesigned permanent stand hall 12.2 in Nuremberg exhibition centre

Leading toy manufacturers choose Nuremberg as home fair until 2018

Visitors and exhibitors at the International Toy Fair 2013 were able to stroll through the redesigned hall 12.2 for the first time and praised the new appearance. The alterations to the permanent stand hall, in which 28 national and international toy manufacturers have set up their permanent stands, were carried out from May to November 2012. The aim of the alterations was to modernize the hall and reposition some of the stands.

Stephan Patrick Tahy, Managing Director Mattel Deutschland, thinks his company’s permanent stand simply belongs to the fair. "The International Toy Fair in Nuremberg is an important platform for exchanging views and for us is a great start to the new year every year. It has always been extremely important for Mattel to present itself there in an appropriate manner. The alterations and the extension of the fair stand to some 2,500 m² in 2013 makes it the biggest commitment to the International Toy Fair in Nuremberg. We are already looking forward to welcoming our business partners in this new ambience."

Hans U. Remfert, Managing Director of Revell GmbH & Co. KG, takes a similar view. "We have exhibited at the International Toy Fair for 56 years and have had a permanent stand in hall 12.2 for 14 years. The fact that almost all the world-leading brands present their products in one hall and are accommodated there all year round is unique and an important signal for the toy industry."

"For global players like us, the International Toy Fair is the hub of the toy world. Here we meet our long-standing partners and prepare the ground for interesting new business. We have accordingly based our larger permanent stand on the Playmobil brand’s message, but have also geared it to functionality at the same time. We now regard ourselves as excellently positioned for the fair in the coming years," says Andrea Schauer, Managing Director Development, Marketing and Sales.

Hall 12.2 covers a total area of 13,300 m² and gathers many world-leading brands in one hall. The following firms have a permanent stand in hall 12.2:
A & A Plush Inc., Artsana SpA (Chicco), Edu Science (H.K.) LTD., Five Starts HK Ltd., Funrise Toys Ltd., Happy People GmbH & Co.
Spielwarenmesse eG

Increasing export orientation of European suppliers

Manufacturers expect good year of business in 2013

The International Toy Fair offered the 2,747 exhibitors from 60 countries national distribution channels and international sales potential. The 73,500 traders and buyers (2012: 76,055) at the fair came from 113 countries and reflected market development. The number of visitors is a result of the growing concentration of the specialist trade in all markets. The exceptionally high quality of the almost 80 per cent share of decision-makers among the visitors impressed the exhibitors. Altogether 91.3 per cent of them said they will exhibit in Nuremberg again next year.

“The mood at the International Toy Fair was excellent and all the major customers were there”, confirms Hermann Otten, Managing Director Sales Germany at Ravensburger Spieleverlag. Deborah Vital, Director Marketing at Doudou et compagnie from France, adds: “The International Toy Fair is a quality fair. No other toy fair is so varied and of such high quality.”

Mattel also recognizes this with its long-term commitment in Nuremberg. The US toy concern opened its new permanent stand of 2,500 m² in the redesigned hall 12.2 at the start of the fair. Stephan P. Tahy, Vice President & Country Manager – Germany/Austria/Switzerland: “The investment in our new fair stand with its new design shows that the International Toy Fair in Nuremberg is one of Mattel’s most important fairs for national as well as international visitors. Extending the stand to around 2,500 m² has created space for extra meeting rooms and more visitors. We have received a great deal of positive feedback from our business partners regarding the complete stand redesign and our extensive product portfolio. We are already looking forward to building on this year’s success in 2014.”

The high quality of service covered all areas of the fair. For the premier of the Traders’ Day on Sunday, Spielwarenmesse eG mobilized a variety of exhibitors to take part with campaigns. The day was rated as a complete success by participants, including Hans Jörg Iden, General Manager of duo schreib & spiel: “On the Traders’ Day we had 30 per cent more traders on our stand than in the year before.” The fair visitors also appreciated the quality of the fair programme. They rated the International Toy Fair better than ever before and 89.2 per cent of them intend to visit again (2012: 86.5 per cent).

Toys 3.0 – The Next Generation: a much discussed special show
The International Toy Fair 2013 triggered enormous interest and many discussions with its top theme Toys 3.0, because the combination of traditional toys with digital play functions not only polarizes the toy industry. With the advancing digitization of society and the increasing spread of suitable applications among toys, this trend will be far more than a fad. Ernst Kick, Chief Executive Officer of Spielwarenmesse eG, sums up: “It is foreseeable that there will be a peaceful coexistence of the forms of play instead of competition. After all, the further development of toys with the aid of applications and mobile terminals is not the first technical encounter to open up new opportunities for the industry.”

SIKU Racing / Sieper GmbH wins ToyAward Traders’Favourite 2013
The SIKU Racing Set from Sieper GmbH won the ToyAward Traders’Favourite 2013 – the International Toy Fair’s Grand Prix. The racing set with its versatile and challenging racing fun convinced the fair visitors. So this time a product from the Teenager&Family category (over 10 years) received the main prize worth 20,000 euros. The competition included the categories of Baby&Infant (0-2 years), PreSchool (3-5 years), SchoolKids (6-10 years) and the Toys 3.0 category as SpecialAward, as shown on the Internet site www.toyaward.de.

With this result, the organizer has confirmed the International Toy Fair as the industry’s most important platform for 2014. For the 65th anniversary next year, Spielwarenmesse eG starts with the new hall 3A. Then all toy professionals meet again in the Nuremberg exhibition centre from Wednesday to Monday, 29 January to 3 February 2014.

4.2.2013 – sd / km

1 The figures for visitors, exhibitors and space at this fair are

World’s Safest Trampoline Manufacturer Makes Debut at Spielwarenmesse International Toy Fair

TORONTO (Jan. 29, 2012) – Springfree Trampoline, maker of the world’s safest trampoline, today announced the launch of its internationally-recognized trampolines to the European market at the Spielwarenmesse International Toy Fair in Nürnberg, Germany (Hall 7, Stand E-16). Designed by a world-class team of engineers, Springfree Trampoline eliminates the product-related impact areas that cause 90 percent of all trampoline injuries: the springs, the frame at the jumping surface, the risk of falls to the ground and the risk of collision with rigid enclosure poles.

“Springfree has helped children and parents in 15 countries worldwide experience the joys of safe jumping and it’s a thrill to now share our revolutionary design with families across Europe," said Steven Holmes, president and chief bouncing officer of Springfree Trampoline. "We’re eager to establish long-lasting relationships with our new partners in Europe to help transform conventional notions of what a backyard trampoline is, and how with the proper equipment, it can be a fun, safe and healthy activity."
Created following 15 years of injury-prevention research by mechanical engineer and father of three, Dr. Keith Alexander, Springfree Trampoline delivers safety features specifically designed to help reduce injuries common on traditional spring-based trampolines, including:

• No Springs: High-performance composite rods give a soft non-jarring bounce. The rods lie beneath the jumping surface out of harm’s way.
• Hidden Frame: The frame is well beneath the jumping surface. The jumper can’t hit it, period.
• SoftEdge™: The mat is 30 times more shock absorbent than the typical pads laid over the frame and springs on traditional trampolines.
• FlexiNet™: The enclosure has flexible supports to cushion jumpers and prevent falls, directing falling jumpers back to the center of the mat.

Springfree Trampoline has gained global recognition and accolades for its unique design, including the Parent Tested Parent Approved Seal of Approval, the 2010 Product of the Year in the United States and Canada, the 2009 International Design Award and more. Springfree Trampoline offers six different models to fit any family size or need. For more information, please visit www.springfree.com.

About Springfree Trampoline
Springfree Trampoline, the world’s safest trampoline, offers a one-of-a-kind design that removes product-related impact areas that cause injury in traditional trampolines.
Finally, the fawn is not merely the logo of the Lässig company anymore but also a first toy for babies and children from birth.

The merry fawn named Lela is made of 100 percent natural rubber and painted with food coloring. Lela is not only a new playmate, but also stimulates the child's senses and imagination. Due to the product's pacifier-like surface, children love to touch this toy. Lela's proportions make her easy to grasp in small hands so the product stimulates the child's sense of touch as well as his or her motor skills. At the same time children can safely put the little fawn into their mouth and chew on ears or legs. This makes Lela an ideal teething toy for growing babies. Lela squeaks happily when her tummy is squeezed creating a fun sound that babies love to hear. The toy character is, like all other products by Lässig, manufactured sustainably and free of azo dyes, nitrosamines and PAHs (polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons). Complies with DIN EN 71-1, 2, 3 and 9.

There will be a wide range of other products focused on Lela such as bibs and melamine crockery with a Lela print. Furthermore, Lela will soon tell her own story about discovering the world in a lovingly made children's book.

Modelleisenbahn München GmbH

For 2013 the Modelleisenbahn Holding from Salzburg (Austria) brings a whole world of new applications to market in regard to the Z21. They all have the goal of raising the archetype-fidelity of rail operations to a new level and to offer multi-faceted entertainment with model trains for various target groups. This to date unprecedented combination of virtual and real elements by Fleischmann and Roco is, in the view of CEO Leopold Heher, the future of the model railway:
"Our benchmark is the archetype operation. We complete the model railway and offer by way of the digital elements even more archetype-fidelity."

Innovations for more entertainment
The fundamental innovations are: driver cabs for, for example, the new ICE and external products such as the Big Boy, the first locomotive camera with a live image in the driver's cab, the neoteric infrastructure game "Rangero", the digital table system "smartRail" as well as, for the first time, play operation with multiple traction.

New driver cabs for Z21: The hitherto four virtual driver's cabs will be regularly – also for international model trains – supplemented. Furthermore, there is for the first time a virtual signal box, whereby a mechanical signal box is photorealistically depicted on the tablet and operated with the archetype-faithful point levers.

Live through the model train world with the loco camera: With the first live image loco camera, an image of their own railway system can be transmitted, live and from the drivers perspective in the cab, onto the tablet. With this the model railway fan can actually see in the screen precisely where his train is currently driving on the layout.

First infrastructure game: Uncharted territory is being encroached upon with "Rangero". It is the first infrastructure game for model railways, one that connects virtual and physical components and, via the internet, will enable formation of a global community.

Track conveyor belt without a space requirement: The "smartRail" in H0 is an approximately 50 centimeters long table facility with an integrated Z21 function, on which various operating states of a loco can be replicated, without requiring the space for a model layout. (Cobbled together from snippets, actually!)

Multiple traction for model railways: The Z21 facilitates so-called multiple traction considerably. The locomotives are calibrated on a test track and then run "in tandem" without problem.

Fleischmann and Roco present numerous new products: H0 highlight of the year at Fleischmann is the new construction of the ICE Class 407. The Fleischmann vehicle is distinguished by its perfect scale, and thus presents the latest generation of the ICE in a model for the first time. For 2013 Roco will continues its path of digitization and innovation. Distinctive new constructions are the self-propelled snowblower Xrotm 96 of the SBB, the electric locomotive from Class 151 of the Deutschen Bundesbahn as well as the diesel locomotive "Hummel" (Bumblebee) from Eastern Europe.

Light turnover growth of three percent
The Modelleisenbahn Gruppe concluded the past economic year with 49 million euros compared to 47.5 million euros (2011). That's a sales increase of three percent.

The Enterprise
The Modelleisenbahn Holding GmbH with its head office in Bergheim near Salzburg (Austria) is, with its two brands Fleischmann and Roco, the market leader in the segment DC as well as number two in the European market for model railways. This is shown by many of the 2,742 companies (2012: 2,776) with their new products at the International Toy Fair in Nuremberg from 30.1 to 4.2.2013. These include classic toys that take on totally new play dimensions through applications. Spielwarenmesse eG focuses on this latest development in its special show on Toys 3.0 – The Next Generation at the Mitte (central) entrance of the exhibition centre. The organizing team are preparing other ground-breaking themes for industry and trade at the Global Toy Conference on Monday, 4.2.2013. The Internet expert Sascha Lobo opens the conference on Digital Worlds – Success with Online Marketing and E-Commerce with his keynote on the future and trends of the digital society.

International Toy Fair fully booked for the 64th time
The 17 halls of the Nuremberg exhibition centre are fully occupied again, which is the 64th time the International Toy Fair has been booked up since its premiere in 1950. One of the halls now sparkles in a totally new look after modifications last year, when Spielwarenmesse eG implemented a new presentation concept for the permanent stand tenants in hall 12.2. Many of the exhibitors in this hall used the modification work as an opportunity to redesign their own stands. All the permanent stand tenants signed new 5-year tenancy contracts with Spielwarenmesse eG, which show that they value the International Toy Fair as the right fair for presenting their company in the long term. The stands offer toy traders lots of inspiration for product presentation.

Special show and study examine Toys 3.0
Classic and digital play ideas merge to become the toys of tomorrow. Besides consoles, mobile terminals with applications now offer extra play functions. This development runs through all eleven product groups at the International Toy Fair – from games, puzzles, cuddly animals, racing cars and model railways to building toys. In order to research the Toys 3.0 trend, Spielwarenmesse eG commissioned the market research company iconkids & youth international research GmbH to conduct a study. The kids and youth researchers examined the play behaviour and potentials of Toys 3.0 in five countries. Traders and manufacturers get the results at the special show in NCC Mitte and at the Toy Business Forum in hall 4 from 13:00 to 15:00 on Saturday, 2.2.2013.

Information for toy traders
Spielwarenmesse eG has declared Sunday, 3.2.2013, as Traders’ Day for toy traders. An extra programme offers guided tours of selected suppliers and visits to the most important focal points of the International Toy Fair.
Frauenfeld, Switzerland, January 22, – Three new SIGG bottles take on the roles of elegant ‘weapons’ in the hands of Star Wars fans – and of any passing Jedi of course. Three of the epic space opera’s iconic characters get their own dedicated designs. The darker side of Darth Vader is mirrored by a sleek black and grey colour-scheme, elegantly punctuated with a mesmerising lightsaber. A Darth Maul bottle alludes to this master of combat’s reputation as assassin with a close-up of his distinctive red and black face and piercing yellow eyes. No Star Wars set would be complete without a tribute to Yoda, widely acclaimed as one of greatest movie characters of all time. Peering animatedly out of the bottle’s surface he begs the question of whether more refreshment could have extended his life beyond the already impressive 900 years achieved on screen.

The Star Wars SIGG bottles have a capacity of 0.6L and are 100% recyclable. They are available from the official online shop (www.sigg.com) and from SIGG retailers around the world. May the Force be with them!

SIGG – SWISS MADE. SINCE 1908.
SIGG Switzerland AG, the Swiss company rich in tradition, represents a unique success story. Established in Switzerland over 100 years ago, SIGG today focuses on recyclable aluminum drinking bottles. The “Original Swiss Bottle” is manufactured in Frauenfeld, Switzerland. Over 90% of its production is exported thanks to a strong global reputation for quality, design and ecology. All SIGG bottles are durable and 100% recyclable. Every year SIGG launches a new Design Collection and for many years now has had samples exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York. Mainly appreciated by hikers and mountaineers initially, the SIGG bottles satisfy today’s strong sustainability trend. They have also developed into a fashionable lifestyle accessory and are favourites of celebrities such as Gisele Bündchen, Cameron Diaz and Zac Efron.

Note for editors:
We will gladly send you printable images and sample bottles for shootings on request.

Balance bikes and tricycles are the first steps into modern mobility. Already for small children, the greatest thing is to be able to get around on their own. And in the process, they train their motor skills, practice coordination, and learn complex motion sequences. This makes the transition to bicycles a piece of cake for the small trikers and bikers later on. This is why KETTLER expands the product range of toy vehicles by 11 innovative models in 2013 that are available in different designs.

The Toptrike Air BOY in its distinct red/white design and the identically constructed Toptrike Air GIRL in grey/pink lacquer have their premiere in 2013. Both models have the innovative, four-way adjustable frame that allows you to set the tricycle to two to five year-olds in just a few steps. Typical for KETTLER: Technical refinement like the handlebar that can be anchored in a straight position and the extendable push rod with a convenient net for utensils. This way the little racers can be pushed easily and conveniently if they run out of air. The young pilots also benefit from the patented freewheel automatics. Because even if Mom or Dad produce speed, the little ones can have their feet resting on the pedals. A further highlight of the Toptrike Air models: The distinct air-filled tires that not only look cool, but also provide special driving pleasure and a good grip.

FUNTRIKE: THE NAME SAYS IT ALL
The Funtrike guarantees a variety of colours and lots of fun in 2013. With this model the kids can choose between three designs: the Funtrike EMMA in green/red, the Funtrike WALDI in blue and the Funtrike PABLO in purple – something for every taste. Of course, all the modern features that characterize a KETTLER-tricycle are included: High bucket seat, freewheel automatics and height-adjustable push rod and the convenient, tiltable sand shovel.

GET ON THE BALANCE BIKES, GET SET, GO ...
There is also news about the balance bikes: The winner Speedy 10” awarded by „Stiftung Warentest“ is now available in a brand-new grey/white/red RALLYE-design. The SPEEDY 12.5”-series was produced in 3 new, trendy designs, namely EMMA in a modern green/white/red, WALDI in blue, and PABLO in purple. The models Run Air BOY in red/white and Run Air GIRL in pink/grey are also new. Both have high quality, 12.5 inch air tires with ball bearings and the newly constructed low-entry frame. Balancing bike newbies can get on this vehicle easily and have secure seating on the ergonomic seat developed by child physiotherapists. And after picking up speed, the mini bikers can simply put their feet on the integrated footboard and enjoy the ride. All models have in common that they are produced in high KETTLER quality and are equipped with the GS-certification mark from the TÜV. The robust, scratch-resistant polyester or acryl-coating not only looks good but easily handles heavy duty usage as well. This guarantees the high quality and safety standard that KETTLER is known for now for over 60 years.

Further information under www.kettler.net.

FUNTRIKE (EMMA,WALDI & PABLO) – available as of January 2013
- Dimensions (W x H x D): 72 x 50 x 50 cm
- Weight net/gross: 5.3 kg/6.3 kg
- High quality round tube frame with scratch-proof polyester coating
- Smooth-running wheels, front wheel with freewheel automatics
- Handlebar angle limitation
- High tilting safety due to low centre of gravity
- Adjustable bucket seat with high backrest
- Handbrake effective on both back wheels
- Tiltable sand shovel with lock
- Separable, adjustable push rod
- Loadable up to 50 kg
- Age recommendation: 2-5 years
- TÜV/GS certified

TOPTRIKE AIR (BOY & GIRL) – available as of January 2013
- Dimensions (W x H x D): 76-82 x 56 x 51cm
- Weight net/gross: 8.5 kg/10 kg
- High quality tunnel pipe frame with scratch-proof polyester coating
- 4-fold adjustable and separable frame that grows along with your child
- Handlebar can be anchored in straight position
- Handlebar angle limitation
- Smooth-running, air-filled tires, front wheel with freewheel automatics
- High tilting safety due to low centre of gravity
- Adjustable bucket seat with high backrest
- Handbrake effective on both back wheels
- Tiltable sand shovel with lock
- Separable push rod with high adjustment and integrated utensil net
- Loadable up to 50 kg
- Age recommendation: 2-5 years
- TÜV/GS certified

SPEEDY 10’’ RALLYE – available as of January 2013
- Dimensions (W x H x D): 79 x 52 x 43 cm
- Weight net/gross: 3.3 kg/4.1 kg
- Steel pipe frame with robust acrylic coating
- 10“-inch wheels with ball bearing with maintenance free plastic tires
- Padded seat adjustable from 33-43 cm
- Safety handles and handlebar padding
- Easy assembly
- Loadable up to 50 kg
- Age recommendation: 2-5 years
- TÜV/GS certified

SPEEDY 12,5’’ (EMMA,WALDI & PABLO) – available as of January 2013
- Dimensions (W x H x D): 93 x 58 x 42 cm
- Weight net/gross: 4.1 kg/5 kg
- Steel pipe frame with scratch-resistant polyester coating
- 12.5“- inch wheels with ball bearing with maintenance free plastic tires
- Padded seat adjustable from 33-43 cm
- Safety handles with child adequate hand brake and handlebar padding
- Easy assembly
- Loadable up to 50 kg
- Age recommendation: 2-5 years
- TÜV/GS certified

RUN AIR (BOY & GIRL) – available as of January 2013
- Dimensions (W x H x D): 92 x 54 x 42 cm
- Weight net/gross: 5.5 kg/6.5 kg
- Novel low entry with footrest, ideal for balancing bike beginners
- Ergonomic seat, developed by child physiotherapists
- Steel pipe frames with scratch-proof polyester coating
- 12.5“-wheels with ball bearing and air-filled tires
- Padded seat adjustable in height from 34-43 cm
- Safety handles with child adequate hand brake and handlebar padding
- Stable side stand
- No handlebar angle limitation
- Simple assembly
- Loadable up to 50 kg
- Age recommendation: 2-5 years
- TÜV/GS certified

After more than 15 million sold KETTCARs in the KETTLER-history of over 50 years, the success story continues in 2013. The traditional German company presents four new mini racers with the models DAKAR AIR, BARCELONA AIR and BARCELONA that promise pure pleasure in motion.

Dakar and Barcelona – two cities that stand for world famous car races are the name patrons of the new KETTCAR models 2013 made by KETTLER. The race trio DAKAR AIR, BARCELONA AIR and BARCELONA will get children between five and ten years queued at the starting line. The dynamic appearance reminiscent of formula 1 cars underlines the athletic character of the smaller race cars: The DAKAR AIR emphasises its racing ambitions with the successful orange/black plastic coating and a colour coordinated steering column cover. The BARCELONA AIR is available in black/red and in stylish black/green. The models BARCELONA AIR and DAKAR AIR are built on robust air-filled tires with sporty rim caps. They provide the small cult race cars with sufficient grip and allow ambitioned mini racers to speed around curves safely. The BARCELONA model enters the race in a black/red/white outfit on robust plastic tires.

TÜV-CERTIFIED AND MADE IN GERMANY
All models are equipped with the GS-certificate mark from the TÜV and are equipped with a hand brake effective on both back brakes.

Study on the use of classic and electronic toys in Germany, Great Britain, the USA, South Korea and Brazil

Toys 3.0 special presents study results from 30.1 to 4.2.2013 in the Nuremberg exhibition centre

Digital evolution instead of revolution: For Toys 3.0 – The Next Generation, the special show at the International Toy Fair 2013, the fair organizer has determined the play habits in five representative toy markets. iconkids & youth, the market researcher commissioned to conduct the study, shows in its report that the 8 to 30-year-olds in Germany, Great Britain, the USA, South Korea and Brazil are completely socialized with electronic toys. As to be expected in an online study, the 2,500 respondents have a high affinity for computers and co. 96 per cent of them say they play on electronic equipment like consoles, computers or smartphones. Nevertheless, 90 per cent of the participants in the study also remain faithful to the classic toys. A large 89 per cent share use electronic equipment and real toys, so that the study shows a peaceful coexistence between the forms of play instead of competition between them. All results are presented in detail at Toys 3.0 – The Next Generation, the special show at the International Toy Fair in Nuremberg from 30.1 to 4.2.2013.

Combining the strengths of electronic and classic toys
The respondents would like to experience action when playing on a game console and enter complex play worlds when playing on the computer. For mobile phones and tablets, they currently prefer the easy games for in between: quick to learn with short and clearly defined play sequences. Industry and trade can skilfully use the trend of extending classic toys by adding digital play functions, if they establish clear added value for the players through the combination of the two forms of play.

The Toys 3.0 study shows that the respondents expect:

better suitability for playing in terms of variation of game length

more complexity through more levels or more stages of difficulty

more versatility through multi-player modes or chance components

a greater attraction and more exciting play through more effects

as far as 3D-effects or augmented reality

Still scope for development of interest in iToys in Germany
All the countries examined show that a clear interest exists in the combination of electronic and classic toys – only Germany is reacting rather cautiously. The respondents from Brazil (68 per cent), Great Britain (65 per cent), South Korea (65 per cent) and the USA (70 per cent) would be prepared to spend more on toys if these could be used with an electronic device. So far only 44 per cent of consumers in Germany would pay more for this.

2,590 persons aged between 8 and 30 years were interviewed for the Toys 3.0 study in Brazil, Germany, Great Britain, South Korea and the USA in September and October 2012. The results of the study are presented in the form of a knowledge brochure and at the Toys 3.0 special at the International Toy Fair in Nuremberg.
Wing Dynasty Limited

30 January, 2013
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Contact: David Mak, dm@dmxslots.com Hall 7, D-66A

REVOLUTIONARY IMPROVEMENT IN SLOT CAR RACING DEBUTS

(Nuremberg, Germany) The most important design improvement in slot car racing’s 100-year history will be on display for the first time this week at the 2013 Nuremberg Toy Fair. From 30 January-04 February, Wing Dynasty Limited will be proudly demonstrating its new invention “Dynamic Motion Express” (DMXslots). DMXslots is a patented technology that allows slot cars to change lanes and pass at any time and at any place on the track.

Wing Dynasty Limited managing director David Mak will be available to answer questions about the new slot car racing system at the company’s display located in Hall 7, Booth D-66A. “We’re excited because our radical step forward will create a whole new generation of slot car racing enthusiasts,” Mak says. He adds, “The new possibilities of DMXslots will also rekindle the competitive passions of long time slot car fans who, before, could only dream of such flexibility.”

DMXslots is a revolutionary new concept for slot car racing. With DMXslots, car racers can pass, intercept and block their competitors, just like real professional auto racing. Old fashioned slot cars are limited by their one-pin and one-slot methodology. They can only switch lanes at pre-determined cross-over sections of the track. This technical limitation has held back the development of slot car racing for nearly 100 years. DMXslots employs a unique, patented rotating pin technology that allows cars to change lanes at any point on the track.

“DMXslots’ cars and tracks are also equipped with a sophisticated system for changing speeds while racing” Mak explains. He says, “We have an infrared version for beginners that can support up to 4 cars at a time. For hobbyists, we have 2.4GHz RF version that can support up to 15 cars in each race“.

DMX will be showing off its full range of cars, tracks and accessories at the 2013 Nuremberg Toy Fair. Accessories include a digital lap counter, motor and speed upgrades, pit-stops, decals, and various track modules to enhance and customize the racers’ experience. These products and a demonstration video can also be seen on the company’s website at www.dmxslots.com.

Wing Dynasty Limited is a Hong Kong-based company founded in 2009 by David Mak, a longtime EMS and toy company executive and inventor.
