Nightlife in Nuremberg at the beginning of February revolved around Spielwarenmesse. The barkeepers of many popular bars have pulled out all the stops again this year to develop an exciting new drink for fair visitors: the ToyCocktail. The 11 barkeepers taking part let their creativity run wild – with drinks from mild to strong and fruity to spicy.

In the competition organized by Spielwarenmesse eG in cooperation with the Bavarian Section of the German Barkeepers Union and AFAG Messen und Ausstellungen GmbH, the jury of experts finally announced the winning drink in mid January. The bars taking part served this as ToyCocktail 2013 during Spielwarenmesse.

The Barbieri Elderflower Toy is prepared with 2cl Aperol, 2cl Bacardi Oakheart, 2cl elderflower syrup, 1 cl grapefruit (& zest),1 rosemary branch.

The winning cocktail was created by Franz Schmidauer of "Sheraton Carlton Nürnberg - Boymanns' Bar".
