Cosmic Catch, Hasbro
Hasbro’s Cosmic Catch is an original variant of the classic ball game. The ball is equipped with electronic components with a random generator and voice output to indicate which player is to get the ball next. The two to six players have coloured wrist straps for this purpose and the ball calls out the colour of the next player to receive it. There are four different variants of the game, which challenge the players’ dexterity in different ways.
Category Emotion + Experience
UB Funkeys, Mattel
The Funkeys live in the virtual online world and as real play figures in the children’s play world. Each Funkey has various capabilities and opens up new play worlds. The Funkeys are very individually designed and adapted to the characteristics of the individual figures.
Category Creativity + Design
Winnie the Pooh´s Home, PLAYGO
This totally new playing concept from PLAYGO uses modelling mass to introduce a completely new dimension to role plays with figures. The children create the world of the bear Winnie the Pooh with their own hands. Newly developed joints make it possible for the figures to move. The modelling mass itself hardens really quickly. Templates make it easier to produce the same parts, if these are required several times.
Category Games + Action
Spielwelt Ägypten, Playmobil
Playmobil’s Play World Egypt rediscovers the secret of the Pharaohs for children. Child-friendly design, high-quality materials and historical knowledge combine to create a totally new colourful and exciting adventure play world with altogether nine articles: Pyramids, Pharaoh’s Nile boat, Sphinx with hiding-place for a mummy, Pharaoh’s temple and tomb raiders’ hide-out.
Category Trend + Lifestyle
Welt der guten Küche, Huch & friends
In the “World of Good Cooking” quiz game, the players find out everything they always wanted to know about this subject. This means a topical media and lifestyle trend has now also arrived in the world of games. “What is a vintage champagne?”, “What is the name of a TV chef in England?”, “Are there any women as star chefs?” are only a few of the 600 questions developed together with Johann Lafer. The game plan is a real china plate from Villeroy & Boch.
Electronics + Technical
H2Go, Corgi
H2Go from Corgi is an RC vehicle powered by hydrogen. The design originates from Luigi Colani. A toy that puts future technology into the hands of children. A solar module also makes it possible to use solar energy. The toy is supplied with a hydrogen station, which can change water into hydrogen with the aid of electricity. The station can be transported with the RC vehicle to provide new energy wherever the vehicle is used.
Category Small + Fine
WIKING Control 87
The latest radio technology (2.4 GHz/ISM band) steers Wiking’s model cars in 1:87 scale over model railway scenes and through the children’s room. The new technology allows simultaneous use of many models, which reliably follow only the instructions of their own driver.
The cars are a masterpiece of innovative precision engineering. Their ingenious inner workings are not noticed from the outside. They liven up model railway and other scenes as if by magic.
Category Knowledge + Learning
Eye Clops – Das TV-Mikroskop, Stadlbauer
Eye Clops from Stadlbauer makes the TV screen into the lens of a microscope to enable children to explore their environment at microscopic level and obtain totally new insights. The “eye” is simply connected to the television set to reveal the secrets of the objects examined.
