Basic Fun’s Tiny TVs are a boxy blast from the past, in collectible form

The days of the CRT TV are lost upon the younger generations, but they’re making their way back into kids’ and adults’ collectible cases through Tiny TVs from Basic Fun.

The 1.5-by-3 inch, Tiny TVs are real-working sets that feature famous scenes and quotes from iconic shows and movies. Each Tiny TV comes with a matching remote that features volume, mute, power, and channel buttons that control the Tiny TV and allow users to switch from scene to scene. When users are done with the Tiny TV, they can place the item and remote on an included, custom backdrop scene for display.

The titles currently available are Friends, Back to the Future, Batman ’66, and South Park. Each of these Tiny TVs shows off a retro style reminiscent of that show’s era. For instance, Back to the Future’s is ‘80s, CRT TV-esque with its antennas and knobs. Other titles launching in October include Star Trek, Bob’s Burgers, Family Guy, and Big Bang Theory.
