EUROPOL launches campaign on counterfeit toys

EUROPOL, the European Union's police agency, is launching a month-long communication campaign on counterfeit toys on Thursday. The campaign is linked to the so-called Operation LUDUS to curb the circulation of counterfeit toys, which is currently in its second edition.

The aim is to create awareness of the dangers posed by counterfeit toys and to sensitise consumers to recognise them. A prevention guide to help end consumers recognise counterfeit and dangerous toys is currently being fine-tuned.
