Hasbro introduces Selfie Series for consumers to personalize action figures

Hasbro is officially changing the action figure game

The Rhode Island-based company has revealed the Hasbro Selfie Series for consumers to immortalize themselves as action figures within their favorite franchises.

Launching this fall exclusively on the Hasbro Pulse mobile app this fall, fans will be able to create a 6-inch action figure based on their likeness with costume designs from G.I. Joe, Ghostbusters, Power Rangers, and Marvel, and designs inspired by Star Wars. Fans can immerse themselves into the universes of their favorite brands, becoming a Star Wars X-wing pilot, morphing into a Power Ranger, stalking Cobra as Snake Eyes, swinging through New York City like Spider-Man, and more.

The platform will launch with the following designs: Mandalorian Warrior, Stormtrooper, X-wing Pilot, and Rebel Princess from Star Wars; Black Panther, Black Widow, Spider-Man, and Iron Man from Marvel; Female and Male Rookies from Ghostbusters; Snake Eyes and Scarlett from G.I. Joe; and the Red and Pink Rangers from Power Rangers.

Hasbro Selfie Series is the company’s first introduction to its personalization platform, which uses proprietary software in partnership with 3D printing company Formlabs. The company says there will be more to come with this platform.
