Philly & Friends to launch black fairy and ballerina dolls in time for Christmas

Multi-award winning inclusive children’s brand Philly & Friends has launched handmade black Fairy and Ballerina dolls in time for Christmas.

Philly & Friends, the 2021 BBBA Consumer & Luxury rising star of the year, has always launched products based on a need its founder, Vese Aghoghovbia-Aladewolu, has experienced personally. Last Christmas, her daughter requested a fairy from Santa. Vese searched the high streets and shops for a beautiful fairy doll she knew her daughter would like but couldn’t find any readily available black fairy dolls.

As one of Vese’s favourite mantras is “You have to be the change you want to see”, she decided to design and make a fairy doll for her, and a ballerina one too. The response was overwhelming and she was encouraged her to make them readily available for other parents searching for something similar – as there was clearly a gap in the market; over 70% of the dolls have sold out already in pre-order.
