Planeta Junior launches new AVOD

Available through Spanish streamer ATRESplayer, KIDZ is looking to license content - especially titles from European producers

Spanish broadcaster Atresmedia and Spanish producer Planeta Junior have just launched a new AVOD channel called KIDZ that’s available via streaming service ATRESplayer.

KIDZ rolled out on December 1 and currently offers more than 1,000 hours of TV and film content aimed at kids ages two to 11. This library features series from Planeta - such as Gormiti, Maya the Bee and Squish - as well as shows that Atresmedia has licensed, including Fireman Sam, Barbie Dreamtopia, Hot Wheels City, Pokémon and Angry Birds.

The two companies plan to add more licensed content from third parties, with a focus on properties from European producers, according to a Planeta Junior spokesperson. They are in active talks with potential content suppliers.
