It took five years of planning and construction, but The LEGO Group has finally completed an epic build on its home turf
The company’s new campus is officially open at its headquarters in Billund, Denmark. Spanning nearly 600,000 square feet, the collaborative workspace can house up to 2,000 staffers in a manner that LEGO hopes will “provide a playful, inclusive, and collaborative environment that enables employees to develop the best play experiences for children all over the world.”
LEGO’s new campus embraces green concepts and places to work and play, including the “People House” - a networking and play space that the company says can be used during and after working hours to reflect “a hybrid working style that is in place across the LEGO Group.” The People House includes lodging for visiting staffers, a movie theater, fitness studio, workshop space, kitchen, health clinic, and an outdoor park and activity space.
