Due to the dramatic situation in Ukraine, American Ty Warner, owner of the largest soft toy manufacturer in the world, has decided to support children and families in the crisis area with a quick fundraising campaign. All profits generated from the sale of Ty's soft toy series Beanie Babies worldwide in March will go 100 per cent to the aid organisation "Save the Children", which provides emergency aid in Ukraine and supports affected families in the country or in the crisis region.
CEO Ty Warner justifies his latest commitment to Ukraine with powerful words: "I am deeply shocked by the events in Ukraine. It is hard to imagine what the children there are going through! That's why I feel compelled to help."
"Save the Children is incredibly grateful to Ty Inc. as well as Mr Warner for their support during this crisis in Ukraine," said Luciana Bonifacio, Chief Development Officer at Save the Children. "This collaboration will help protect children from harm and help meet the urgent needs of children and their families who are at great risk in Ukraine and the region."
