Tips & Advice

You officially accepted our rules for exhibitors when you registered for Spielwarenmesse® 2018. If you are not familiar with these rules, you will find the Rules for Exhibitors here for downloading. Additional information, tips and services for your attendance at the Nuremberg toy fair 2018 are provided for you here.

Start of assembly

  • All halls on Monday, 22 January 2018
  • During the assembly period work may be carried out daily from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm.
  • On Sunday, 28 January 2018 and Monday, 29 January 2018 the halls will remain open until 10:00 pm. On Tuesday, 30 January 2018 work will cease at 6:00 pm.

End of assembly

  • Tuesday, 30 January 2018 6:00 pm

Duration of fair

  • 31 January – 4 February 2018, daily from 9:00 am - 6:00 pm
  • The fair is open daily from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, on the last day until 5:00 pm only. Exhibitors are admitted daily from 8:15 am onwards and the stands must be occupied by the exhibitors by not later than 8:45 am.
  • For security reasons all persons must leave the halls and outdoor area by not later than 7:00 pm during the fair. Other exhibition stands are not to be visited outside the daily opening times without the permission of the stand holder.

Dismantling times

  • Sunday: 4 February 2018, 5:00 pm - 12:00 midnight
  • Monday: 5 February 2018, 12:00 midnight - 8:00 pm
  • Thuesday: 6 February 2018, 7:00 am - 8:00 pm
  • Wednesday: 7 February 2018, 7:00 am - 7:00 pm

Legal and plagiarism

The IPR Council (Intellectual Property Rights Council) at Spielwarenmesse® is a service for the protection of intellectual property and facilitates out-of-court settlement of complaints concerning the protection of exhibitors’ industrial property rights. The purpose of the council is to clarify violations of such rights by products exhibited and/or offered by other exhibitors during the fair.

The organiser’s intention is that this service helps to resolve such disputes between the parties involved without delay and without adversely affecting the course of the fair.

Complaints will be accepted from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm at NCC West, floor 1, ExhibitorsLounge daily for the duration of Spielwarenmesse®.

Donation project

Many exhibitors traditionally donate toys for needy children at the end of Spielwarenmesse®. In 2018 we support again the SOS Children’s Villages with these donations. The donated toys benefit both the SOS Children’s Villages and the day centres of SOS Children’s Villages for children and juveniles in Germany.

Some of the donated toys are also given to nurseries and social institutions in the Nuremberg region.

Would you like to contribute too? Then please support our project by donating your toys. We would like to document the campaign and share your donation via Facebook, Google+ and Instagram. Use this opportunity and share your commitment with your fans via your social media.

Procedure for the donation campaign

  • You receive a donation appeal from us during Spielwarenmesse®.
  • If you would like to take part in our project, you receive a certificate of participation that you can hang in a prominent position on your stand.
  • We collect your donations on the last day of Spielwarenmesse® and record the handover with a photo for publicizing the donation project.
