From robots to RC products to augmented reality - the development of technological toys is fast. The activity area Tech2Play in Hall 4A offered these four categories: Robot Toys, Virtual Play, RC Toys, Electronic Learning. The various categories featured in the promotion area encouraged visitors not only to browse but also to get involved.
Special Area Baby and Infant Articles
Products for babies and infants wee in the spotlight at the Spielwarenmesse®. The extensive spectrum of products in the baby and infant range was reflected in a special area located between halls 2, 3 and 4 in these five sub-groups:

This area provided a good insight into the diversity of baby and infant products on display throughout the exhibition center in Nuremberg. The light and airy passageway was a source of inspiration for you wondering which products from this product range will complement your business models most successfully. A quiet zone with catering and hospitality facilities gave the opportunity to relax and contemplate.

Test and inspection institutes at the Spielwarenmesse®
More than a million products compete for the visitors’ attention at Spielwarenmesse®. They all promise to be fun to play and make children’s eyes light up. But are they also safe? Nowadays, quality and safety dominate the toy industry. Spielwarenmesse® provided lots of useful information on these issues. Manufacturers and traders could find out all about toy safety in the Testing & Inspecting Center throughout the fair. The national and international test and inspection institutes there in hall 11.1 provided information about test procedures and safety requirements.
Meeting point of the games community
They rolled the dice, rattled the toy figures, and saw game designers presenting their latest game ideas in the exhibitor foyer in hall 11.0. The GamesCafé is the centre for contact with the professional international games community. Here, you could meet game designers, tabletop games experts, publishers or game initiatives. This information, discussion and contact platform gave you many ideas on how to highlight games in your shop. You had the chance to develop concepts for game presentation events with the help of the game designers. The GamesCafé presented an extra feature with a small exhibition from the collection of the German games archive.
The GamesCafé is a cooperation between the German games archive, the game designer association and Spielwarenmesse eG.
