Dr Rainer Noch: We didn't have any specific expectations, since we assumed that we wouldn't have a chance with our non-toy product. That's why our expectations were exceeded.
Did the ToyAward make the "Model Train in a Briefcase" a so-called visitor magnet for your stand at the fair?
R.N.: The biggest effect was certainly the fact that the products that were nominated and that won awards were displayed very broadly at the Spielwarenmesse. As a result, lots of visitors came to our stand, who would otherwise not have been interested in our products.
How was your company able to benefit from the nomination in other ways?
R.N.: Due to the size of the Spielwarenmesse, buyers have certain, pre-planned routes, so that exhibitors, who aren't in their sights, won't be visited. Owing to the great publicity we had, we were able to get in touch with visitors who would otherwise not have come to Hall 4A.
Would you recommend taking part in the ToyAward?
R.N.: Oh, absolutely!
So we look forward to your next submission to the ToyAward.
