Habermaaß GmbH will present the new Affe Lino (Lino the Ape) collection under the HABA brand in spring. It consists mostly of textile articles (grasping toy, toy figure, music box, baby wedge, plush ball, blankie, cloth book) with lots of interesting effects for stimulating a baby’s sense of sight, touch and sound. There are also matching wooden dummy and pram chains (Hall 3/A-13, C-12).
The "Interactive Game" picture book from Germany’s Legler OHG is also made of wood, a particularly popular material for this target group. Each page features interactive games, helping to train the child’s fine motor skills. Opened out, the wooden book also functions as a forest play world. The wooden forest animal characters can be used to tell exciting stories (Hall 3/A-28).
As babies and infants, we learn more than at any other stage in life. The manufacturers in this product group help foster this.
The Think & Learn Code-a-pillar with motorised head and eight easy-to-connect segments is one of this year’s innovations from Fisher-Price (Mattel Hall 12.0/A-05).
Hape International (Ningbo) Ltd. from China will present the VW Camper and Beetle walkers. These sporty walkers help accompany little explorers as they take their first steps. Their wheels have a braking mechanism which helps children keep their footing while walking. With their adjustable bracket, the walkers can also be converted into a doll’s pram or push cart (Hall 3A/E-17, G-26 Hall 3A/E-19).
AMAZONAS Baby World has reinvented the baby cradle. The 4-in-1 LooL has everything you need from a baby cradle. Rocked on the floor, the baby is calmed by the much-loved sensation that reminds it of being in mummy’s tummy. Swinging from the ceiling via integrated suspension straps, the cradle stimulates and encourages the baby’s motor skills. By rolling the cradle along on the LooL Stand frame, the baby is always kept near (Hall 3/B-27).
The knitted creations from French company MyuM are one example of the increasing demand for eco-friendly offerings. They are handmade from organic cotton and reversible. For example, a flower can be turned into an apple in an instant (Hall 3A/B-22).
kikadu GmbH is also setting great store by the sustainability of its products with its kikadu truly organic brand. The flamingo baby music box, for example, makes for variety in the baby’s field of vision. The manufacturer wants to show that it is possible to produce modern, contemporary baby and child products while dealing honestly and fairly across all product stages (Hall 2/D-11).
Electronics now feature regularly in products offered in this segment as well. French company KG GROUP brings with it the Cheerful Koala, which is placed on a high chair to keep a baby amused. Various sound and light effects and little stories make mealtimes more entertaining for everyone (Hall 12.0/G-18, F-20).
Fashion plays a key role when it comes to products for children. With its new About Friends children’s collection, Lässig GmbH is offering modern children’s bags this year, from nursery backpacks through to school bags in trendy melange shades with accents in bright colours. The Little Chums collection brings something new for babies and infants, with animal motifs in trendy blue and pink shades and neutral white. The dog, cat and mouse on crockery, bibs, muslin cloths, music boxes, baby blankets and pillows invite shared feasting and snuggling (Hall 2/D-19, E-12).
We all want our babies to have a peaceful and restful sleep, but settling them is often particularly challenging for many of us. The right lighting plays a key role in this. Canadian company CJM Kids Inc. has developed a night light that can also be used as a reading lamp. Even better: it can be controlled remotely. Tulio Dream Light creates individually controllable light effects in twelve colours (Hall 2/E-06).
