Knowledge gain for some 200 participants
At the 2nd Global Toy Conference in Nuremberg, copying was specifically requested for a change, when some 200 traders and exhibitors at the Spielwarenmesse International Toy Fair Nürnberg 2011 took a look over the shoulder of successful figures and experts from the industry on the Tuesday of the fair. Film recordings of selected presentations are available now in the “Expert Knowledge” section at www.yourtoycom.com.
The participants appreciated the conference programme as a valuable knowledge gain. Like Antje Verter, Purchasing Coordinator at myToys.de GmbH: “I really enjoyed the Global Toy Conference 2011. The programme topics were interesting and covered exactly the important issues in my daily work. The speakers’ presentations were excellently prepared, gave me many new ideas and suggestions, and were entertaining as well. I also liked the choice of the different panels, because this enabled me to attend the presentations that really interested me.” From the manufacturer’s viewpoint, Dr. Petra Müller, Technical Product Development at Franckh-Kosmos-Verlag, commented: “The mix of topics was ideally matched. I think it’s very good to have the conference at the International Toy Fair.” Other participants particularly highlighted the high standard of the presentations and the high professional quality of the speakers.
Spielwarenmesse eG offers two film recordings on the Internet for all those interested but unable to attend the conference. These can be seen now at www.yourtoycom.com, the online network for toy professionals. Registration for YourToyCom is free. In a webcast for YourToyCom, Mark Ellis, Managing Director of Syzygy UK, provides an outlook on “Future social commerce trends – What works and why?”, and Dr. Martin Lichtl, owner-manager of the agency .lichtl Ethics & Brands, presents “Sustainability and toy consumers – Expectations, trends and consumer segments” in another webcast. This presentation offers more detailed information about “Toys go green”, the main theme of the International Toy Fair 2011.
This year, the practical topics and best-practice examples were presented at a joint conference for traders and manufacturers. The second event has proved the concept and the conference will be continued as a permanent feature of the ToyKnowHow service at the International Toy Fair. The 3rd Global Toy Conference will tackle the key theme of the coming International Toy Fair 2012 and also examine the current issues and trends in the toy industry. Spielwarenmesse eG offers sponsors the opportunity to support the conference as part of extensive marketing campaigns before the event and attract attention to their company with a tailor-made programme for sponsors.
