After five years away, Margarete Steiff GmbH is returning to the Spielwarenmesse. In February 2017, the well-known brand will appear at the world’s largest trade fair for the toy industry and unveil its new corporate design. This latest move has been prompted by the company’s current strategic objectives and its increasing international focus.
As one of the Spielwarenmesse’s original founding members, Steiff has taken part in the fair 64 times so far. Since its last appearance in 2012, the company has greatly expanded its product range, whilst broadening its scope by embracing new markets and target groups with specific expectations. In Nuremberg, the exhibitor will be giving trade buyers a representative insight into its current range and the new approaches to its collections. Although priority is being given to the children and baby segment, the manufacturer is still keeping its collectors firmly in its sights, showing selected products from this field. Daniel Barth, Managing Director of Steiff, comments: “Our return to the Spielwarenmesse represents a big and important step for the Steiff brand. We’re delighted to be back in 2017.”
The company’s roughly 200m² stand is in a central location directly by the entrance in Hall 2 and is open on three sides. Steiff is seizing this opportunity to present its new corporate design, the implementation of which started in July. The Steiff logo, the corporate colours, the famous “Button in Ear” and the iconic bear head are all receiving a new fresh look that visitors at the Spielwarenmesse will experience at first hand from 1 to 6 February 2017.
