Toy Business Forum: Sales coaching at the Spielwarenmesse

  • The Toy Business Academy takes place on the Saturday
  • Practical tips from expert Jörg Winter for all the sales team


“Toy Business Academy – getting your sales in shape” takes centre stage at the Toy Business Forum on Saturday, 4 February 2017. This event gives retailers the perfect opportunity to expose their sales teams to professional training. The knowledge hub in Hall 3A will see sales coach Jörg Winter teach participants how to deal with customers from all walks of life. The modules take place from 1pm to 3pm and, like the presentations on the other days, are completely free of charge.

The “Toy Business Academy” at the Toy Business Forum directly targets all retail staff. Covering eight modules, each lasting around 15 minutes, Jörg Winter presents a wealth of background information and practical tips on dealing confidently with all kinds of customers. He demonstrates, for example, how retailers can present themselves convincingly in any situation and respond appropriately to key customer groups. The entertaining expert covers a wide spectrum of topics in just one afternoon.

The modules in Jörg Winter’s sales training at a glance:

  • Contact creates sales – communicating with customers
  • “Why not take both!” – motivating customers with a light touch
  • The last impression counts - farewells and paying up as a key sales experience
  • “Turning” unhappy customers - confident complaint handling

Hamburg-based Jörg Winter has been working as a coach for more than 30 years. His main clients are owners and teams in the toy and book trade. In addition, Jörg Winter also trains entrepreneurs at special interest group gatherings. At the Spielwarenmesse, he is among the high-calibre speakers who share their knowledge in compact and informative presentations at the Toy Business Forum from 1-5 February 2017. Each day is devoted to a different topic that directly relates to the everyday running of retail businesses.
