Building our Future Toy Conference 2011 at the International Toy Fair:
Engineer or nursery school teacher – Do toys affect the development of children?
Do dolls and building bricks influence the subsequent choice of career? Or are the genes the reason why girls make a rush for pink dolls and boys for toy cars at an early age? These questions are discussed by the participants at the Building our Future Toy Conference the day before the Spielwarenmesse International Toy Fair Nürnberg 2011.
Thought leaders from various countries meet at the Future Conference to analyse developments in the toy industry. The interdisciplinary group of experts comprises visionaries from Germany, France, Great Britain, the Netherlands, Russia, Spain and the USA. The invited participants will discuss whether toys influence the development of children. Toy manufacturers, traders, corporate and PR consultants, market researchers and journalists will contribute their standpoints to the debate on topics ranging from packaging, product and colour design to the role of plush products, action figures and technical toys.
Richard Gottlieb from the USA, President of Toy Experts, chairs the event and presents the results at the Toy Business Forum in hall 4 at 2 p.m. on Friday, 4 February 2011. He is the founder of the “Building Our Future Toy Conference”, which now takes place at the International Toy Fair for the second time. The European version of the series of events with the same name in the USA stands out for its internationality. As part of the “ToyKnowHow” offered at the International Toy Fair, the Future Conference shows how much concentrated professional expertise is gathered together in Nuremberg every year.
