Branch Knowledge is in Demand: Global Toy Summit goes into the 2nd Round at Spielwarenmesse 2011

Toy experts are thirsty for knowledge. This year at the successful premiere of the Global Toy Summit, Spielwarenmesse eG clearly sensed this demand. On 08 February 2011, dealers and manufacturers can expand their knowledge once again (in CCN Ost ) from the engrossing and practice-oriented presentations at Spielwarenmesse International Toy Fair Nürnberg.  

A new component is that congress visitors can organize their own programs. When submitting their registration, they can select individual offerings from the compact day's agenda that meet their particular interest. Following a common introductory event, toy dealers and manufacturers can then make selections from the following offerings that are formulated around specific target groups:

Online, but how? – For toy dealers, this question is playing an increasingly important role. Experts will show concepts and examples of successful online marketing that are oriented towards the daily business of the branch. The talks will also provide toy dealers with ideas of how they can attract more attention with social media activities.
A further complex of themes will deal with the successful combination of sales shops and online marketing. Participants will discover which chances the internet offers as a supplement to shop business and how activities can best be started in this area.  

In today's world, companies must be well versed in questions of toy safety. The newest developments in international guidelines will be explained at the congress by specialists from the toy branch. Among other highlights, representatives of the European Commission will answer questions from the public. This part of the congress is taking place in cooperation with the Deutschen Verband der Spielwaren-Industrie e.V. (DVSI) (German Organization of the Toy Industry e.V.).

At the congress, top-notch speakers will also work with the fair slogan "Toys Go Green – Natural Play". Participants will be given examples of sustainable action. From 03 to 08 February, Spielwarenmesse will provide insights into how the toy branch can live, even more strongly, the ecology awareness that already exists.
Participants immediately appreciated the numerous suggestions at the first Global Toy Summit that they, as manufacturers or toy dealers, could utilize to help stem the tide against the demands of the marketplace in a creative manner. For example, Sabine Gauditz and Hans Schmidt from Arte Perfectum GbR: "To take some time out from the hectic that enfuses the fair atmosphere and to reflect upon ones own business policies provides renewed strength to implement many ideas here in the halls at the fair". Toy fair visitors and manufacturers who would like to connect to this stream of ideas can register online for the congress  at the beginning of this Autumn.  The advance-booking price for the Knowledge-Package that contains all Global Toy Summit documents amounts to 109.00 EUR, while the daily counter price will be 149.00 EUR. Spielwarenmesse eG has put together special travel packages that meet the needs of congress participants: They include inexpensive offers for roundtrip  travel and for overnights  plus fair entry  and tickets for the Global Toy Summit.
