Simon Spalding joins Steamforged Games board

The former Hasbro and Fremantle Media executive joins as Executive Chair, following recent appointment of Games Workshop co-founder Ian Livingstone

  • UK tabletop games developer and retailer Steamforged Games has welcomed Simon Spalding to its board as Executive Chair.

Simon joins after a dozen years in international commercial and production roles at Fremantle Media. Prior to that he spent 14 years with Hasbro working on marketing and brand development for multiple brands including Trivial Pursuit, Transformers, Play-Doh, and Jurassic Park.

Steamforged first gained success following the launch of the critically acclaimed sports-based miniatures game Guild Ball. The company has since gone on to produce tabletop versions of popular video games such as Resident Evil 2: The Board Game and Ni no Kuni II: The Board Game.

Simon’s appointment follows that of Ian Livingstone, the co-founder of Games Workshop and a legend of the UK games industry.
