The Toy Business Forum was integrated into the TrendGallery in hall 3A and offered all interested toy professionals compact presentations on current marketing developments and trends. Top-class speakers provided possible toy business solutions to equip for the challenges of the future. The lectures at the Toy Business Forum were devoted to a specific subject each day.

Reyne Rice has more than 30 years of experience in the toy industry, and entertainment & kids' technology industries. She has been working as a toy trend specialist, consultant, international journalist and as CEO, ToyTrends, for 14 years.

Mykola Golovko, Senior Analyst Toys and Games Euromonitor International, Chicago/USA

With a degree in Economics he is the senior Toys and Games analyst at Euromonitor International. He is driving the analysis of the influence of technology on the global toys and games market. The  focus of the role is studying how technology diffusion rates have been accelerating and permeating a growing number of aspects of daily life of consumers, including playtime.

Joeri Van den Bergh, InSites Consulting, Gent/Belgium

Joeri Van den Bergh is co-author of 'How Cool Brands Stay Hot: Branding to Generation Y & Z' and co-founder & NextGen expert at InSites Consulting, a global ‘new generation’ research agency with offices in New York, London, Rotterdam and Gent. He has extensive experience of all aspects of branding, marketing and advertising to kids, teens and young adults.

Dr. Frank Danzinger, Service Factory Nuremberg, Fraunhofer SCS, Nuremberg

Dr. Frank Danzinger is deputy CEO of the Fraunhofer Center for Applied Research on Supply Chain Services (SCS) at the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits IIS in Nuremberg. Since 2012 he has been in charge with the Services division as well as the JOSEPHS® innovation laboratory in Nuremberg and offers an environment dedicated to the co-development of innovations, to testbeds for prototypes as well as the co-designing of trends and new products.

Marek Jankowski introduced to the market "Branza Dziecieca" in 2008, which now is the biggest opinion-forming magazine in the toys and kids articles industry in Poland. In 2011 (and again in 2013) he was chosen to be a member of the management board of the Polish Toy Association

In his current role, he is responsible for research studies for the Home & Tech cluster of industries which includes Toys and Games, Consumer Electronics and Consumer Appliances.

Gustavo Antonioni is a multi-lingual Sr Level Entertainment executive with experience in European and Latin American markets across a variety of licensing roles; general management, retail, licensing, brand development, marketing, creative, business development and LBE. He has worked with the following companies on the commercialisation of theatrical, television and publishing properties: Disney, Warner Bros, ITV Studios, Sony, EMI Music and Saban Brands.

 

Paul Bufton is the Vice President of Licensing and Business Development at Warner Bros. Consumer Products EMEA. In his role, he is responsible for creating and executing integrated licensing strategies and working with all key areas of the business including theatrical, home video, television and interactive divisions.

 

Cristian Cabero is Vice President of Nickelodeon and Viacom Consumer Products for Latin America and Toys International. He oversees licensing, retail and product strategies in the Latin American region. In his international role, he is responsible for the direct oversight of the toy category in Europe, Asia and the Americas. In this position, he is tasked with the expansion of toy business, negotiating global toy licensing deals.

 

Steven Ekstract is founder and the Group Publisher of License! Global magazine and various other publications for the licensing industry. In addition, he speaks extensively on Licensing at conferences around the world. Ekstract is also the publisher of “Licensing for Dummies”, an industry trade paperback overview of the licensing business.

Maik Drewitz, ShopConsult, Oberhausen/Germany

Maik Drewitz studied interior design and has been the Head of Brand Design at Shopconsult by Umdasch since 2010. Together with a team composed of architects, interior designers and designers he develops and plans integrated retail concepts for brands such as Bose, Cinque, Mc Trek and Zalando..

Reinhard Vedder, Lichtmanagement, Munich/Germany

The certified architect established the lighting consulting office VEDDER.LICHTMANAGEMENT in Munich in 1992. A second planning office followed in Gröbming, Austria in 2000, as did VEDDER.LICHT AG, Alpnach, Obwalden, Switzerland in 2012 as well as the Lichtplaner-Akademie, a professional lighting academy which he also presides over as a coach. His focal points are light design and design concepts.

Jörg Meister, little big things GmbH, Munich/Germany

Jörg Meister studied product design at Coburg University of Applied Sciences. After working for five years as an industrial designer for a globally operating company for baby hardware and toys, he joined forces with Eva Stemmer to set up the little big things agency in Munich in 2005. The product design and management agency focuses on children’s, non-book and green products and works for small and medium enterprises, producers, licensees and publishers. Since 2015, little big things also offers an own baby and toddler toy line.

Next to his passion for creation, he successfully connects knowledge gained from a variety of fields in science, such as neurology, psychology and sociology, with POS measures.

As a business studies graduate, he started out as a consultant at Serviceplan for customers such as BMW, Head and Ray Ban, followed by stops within the industry as the head of advertising for investment funds at HypoVereinsbank as well as a global marketing head of the Fischer Group. Today, he is Consulting Director at “Die roten Reiter” as well as Marketing Director of Spielwarenmesse eG.

 

Christian Medelnik has a degree in communication design and is a creative mind with experience in strong brands such as Deutsche Bank, General Motors and Absolut Vodka. He started out as the Art Director for McCann and Serviceplan and later was the Creative Director at McCann in Europe and freelance CD in Australasia. These days, he is the creative head behind “Die roten Reiter”.

Stephan Sigloch has a degree in IT/Computer Science, multiple eCommerce awards and online marketing certificates in addition to extensive digital marketing experience which he has acquired since 1996, plus eCommerce experience gathered since 2002. He heads KlickPiloten GmbH as their founder and chief captain. He is also the founder of NETFORMIC and brickfox, both sister companies of KlickPiloten GmbH.
