Key facts about Spielwarenmesse
The Spielwarenmesse in Nuremberg, Germany is the world’s leading fair for the toy industry with over 2,900 exhibitors from 68 nations and more than 62,000 trade visitors from more than 130 nations. Spielwarenmesse is a trade fair, only admitting toy industry visitors.
The Spielwarenmesse 2022 will take place from Wednesday, 2 to Sunday, 6 February 2022.
Yes, the onsite Spielwarenmesse 2022 from 2 to 6 February 2022 will be complemented by Spielwarenmesse Digital. That way, Spielwarenmesse eG combines the fair experience in Nuremberg with the virtual world. Exhibitors will benefit from wider coverage. A valuable offer of additional services is available for specialist retailers and buyers. The networking of all target groups in the toy industry is clearly the focus.
Following the unrelenting uncertainty surrounding the coronavirus pandemic both on a national and international level, it has been decided to cancel the event and to focus instead on Spielwarenmesse 2022. The disappointingly slow improvement of the pandemic has been fuelling uncertainty across the industry. The lack of political perspective with regard to trade fairs has had a considerable impact on the ability of exhibition organisers to make firm plans and for international manufacturers and buyers to schedule and book their travel and accommodation. Despite the measures already set in motion, it would be impossible to stage the Spielwarenmesse Summer Edition successfully without having the all-important run-up to the fair clearly mapped out.
