Highlights of the ToyCity
DB Museum

Founded back in 1882, today's DB Museum is the oldest railway museum in the world. At the heart of the museum is an interactive exhibition on the history of the railway in Germany. On two floors, visitors embark on a journey through more than 200 years of railway history. The original vehicles are a real crowd-puller. Around 40 railway legends await museum visitors in two halls, including a replica of the ‘Adler’, Germany's first locomotive. Another highlight is the Modellarium with over 2,000 models in various scales and the historic model railway layout from the 1960s.

Exhibition: Under Pressure. The History of the Train Toilet
Until 1 February, the DB Museum is presenting the exhibition “Under Pressure. The History of the Train Toilet.” Across eight thematic sections, the exhibition vividly explores the fascinating development of train toilets in Germany from their origins to the present day. More than 150 exhibits, documents, and photographs bring this history to life – from the chamber pot from Otto von Bismarck’s saloon carriage to soap dispensers and toilet paper, all the way to the modern bioreactor.
