fischerwerke is a Green Brand

For the first time, fischerwerke has been awarded the prestigious Green Brands seal of approval. It is an important and valuable recognition of their commitment to sustainability.

The seal proves to consumers and business customers how ecologically sustainable fischer is. What is special about the Green Brands seal of approval is that it is a registered EU guarantee mark for ecological sustainability with an independent, transparent and neutral testing procedure. This means it has protection throughout the European Union.

"We are pleased to be able to award fischerwerke for the first time after its GreenLine product line already received the Green Brands seal of approval in 2020. The anchors in this sustainable product line are predominantly made from renewable raw materials.

Particularly in the areas of environmental management systems, corporate social responsibility, energy and resource consumption, emissions and in the area of external awareness, fischerwerke scores top marks and proves once again that it plays an important pioneering role in this field," says Norbert R. Lux, the managing director of the Green Brands organization. Together with jury member Manfred Spaltenberger from the German Institute for Invention, he personally presented the seal of approval certificate to Marc-Sven Mengis, Managing Director for Human Resources, Sustainability and Facility Management, and Christian Ziegler, Division Manager for Sustainability, Environment and Energy, at the company's Tumlingen site on March 3, 2023. "Green Brands puts our sustainability activities under critical scrutiny. Because it is such a robust and meaningful award, we are all the more pleased with our excellent performance. In addition, the benchmarking helps us to continuously develop further," Mengis and Ziegler summarize the successful participation.

To receive the award, fischer had to go through a unique three-stage process. Only companies, products and services that have been nominated can take part. In turn, only NGOs, market research companies, media partners, jury members, interest groups or companies that have already won an award are allowed to do so. In a second step, experts then determine the status on a Green Brands Index in an independent validation process. The criteria for this were developed, among others, with a scientific sustainability institute. In the event of a positive validation result, national jury members finally make the final decision. Only those that practice demonstrable ecological sustainability are awarded the Green Brand label and receive the seal of approval for two years. All seal of approval winners are presented on the website www.green-brands.org and in a book. The Green Brands organization is already active in 8 countries.
