WildBrain CPLG and Sega Launch Licensing Program for 'Sonic Prime'

WildBrain CPLG and SEGA will soon launch a global licensing partnership for the Netflix series Sonic Prime, building on the ever-growing fan base of the Sonic the Hedgehog™ franchise.

The series centered around Sonic the Hedgehog, premiered globally on Netflix in December 2022 and secured a spot in the Global Top 10 TV (English) in 66 territories with over 54 million viewing hours within its first ten days.

The collaboration includes a variety of fun and exciting ways for fans to engage with the brand and its iconic and beloved characters. Additional episodes have been announced for July 13 on Netflix. Maarten Weck, EVP & MD at WildBrain CPLG, said:

New licensees for Sonic Prime signed by WildBrain CPLG so far include:

• Aymax, which will provide bedding, towels, pillows and blankets for markets in Belgium, France, Germany, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Portugal and Spain.
• Bioworld International will launch apparel and accessories in the UK and Ireland, ranging from hoodies, loungewear and sleep sets to keychains, socks, hairbands. 
• Fen will provide products such as outdoor playsets, bicycles, swings and play tables in Turkie.
• Diramix signed for sticker albums, sticker packs, 3D stretchables and 3D toppers for Italy, San Marino, the Vatican City and the Canton of Ticino
• Artesania Cerdà will distribute backpacks, activity books, stationery, pencil cases and more in Andorra, Portugal, Spain and the United Kingdom.
• La Plume Dorée is on board in France for stationery and accessories such as calendars, pencil cases, luggage and more.
• Ravensburger is among the new licensees in EMEA for a creative range of Sonic Prime toys and games, including 2D/3D puzzles and craft sets, as well as Play by Play for plush figures in Spain, Portugal, Andorra, Italy and Greece.
• JAKKS Pacific will launch its first licensed Sonic Prime toy and plush line this July.
