Travelling to Spielwarenmesse

Travelling to Spielwarenmesse is a key part of your trade fair planning. Find the most suitable way to travel to Nuremberg and the exhibition center – flexible, convenient and sustainable.

The Exhibition Center Nuremberg (Messezentrum 1, 90471 Nürnberg) has excellent transport links to the nearby motorways, Nuremberg’s main train station and its international airport. There is also ample parking on site.

Using public transport

The U1 underground line (Direction Langwasser Süd) brings you from the main train station directly to the exhibition center’s main entrance (Subway station ‘Messe’). The journey from Nuremberg’s main station to the threshold of the Spielwarenmesse takes around 9 minutes.

Arrival by train 

Nuremberg Central Station is a key transport hub and is well connected to both the long-distance and regional rail networks. From there, you can easily reach the exhibition center by underground, bus or cab.

Arrival by long-distance bus

Nuremberg Central Bus Station (ZOB) is within walking distance of the main train station (approx. 6 minutes). From there, you can quickly reach the exhibition center by underground.

From the Nuremberg airport to the exhibition center

  • From Albrecht Dürer Airport in Nuremberg, you can take a cab to the main entrance (Eingang Mitte) or east entrance (Eingang Ost).
  • From the airport, take the underground line U2 (Direction Röthenbach) to the main station, then change there to the U1 (Direction Messe / Langwasser Süd) – this will take you to the exhibition center in about 25–30 minutes in total.

Are you landing at Munich Airport?

Munich Airport is one of Europe’s largest transport hubs and offers numerous international connections. Take the exclusive Spielwarenmesse bus or the Regional-Express for a comfortable onward journey to Nuremberg.

Spielwarenmesse Bus
For air travellers visiting Spielwarenmesse 2027, we are once again offering our coach service: several times a day, dedicated Toy Fair coaches run from Munich Airport directly to the Nuremberg Exhibition Center and back.

Direct train (Regional Express)
The Regional Express RE 22 connects Munich Airport directly with Nuremberg every two hours via Regensburg and Landshut. The journey takes approximately two and a half hours.


Travelling by car

The Nuremberg Exhibition Centre is directly connected to the motorway network.

Address for sat-nav systems: 

  • Karl-Schönleben-Straße, 90471 Nuremberg or
  • Point of interest (POI): NürnbergMesse or Messezentrum Nürnberg

There are plenty of parking spaces and charging points for electric vehicles available on site. You can find detailed information on the locations of the parking spaces on our exhibition grounds map or use the excellent dynamic traffic guidance system (German only) around the exhibition center.

Arrival by cab

Cabs are available at the exhibition center as well as at the airport or main station.

A ride from Nuremberg Central Station to the Spielwarenmesse takes about 10-15 minutes and costs about 25 Euros.

A ride from the airport to the exhibition center costs about 40 euros and takes about 30 minutes.
