Alpenliebe and Meilun to launch new ice cream range
Alpenliebe, a brand owned by Perfetti Van Melle, has partnered with Chinese ice cream company Meilun to introduce a new Alpenliebe × Meilun ice cream range in the first half of 2026. This marks the brand’s first venture into food and beverage licensing in China, representing a step into cross-category expansion while staying true to its confectionery roots.
Distributed widely across China
Developed and produced by Meilun under license, the range is inspired by Alpenliebe’s signature creamy texture and fruity flavors. The products will be distributed widely across China, including convenience stores, modern retail channels, and major e-commerce platforms. The collection transforms familiar candy flavors into ice cream, offering consumers a new way to experience the brand.
Seven product lines
The lineup includes seven product lines with varied formats and textures, such as swirl ice creams made with imported milk, fruit ice lollies, and layered combinations featuring caramel, fruit, and crisp elements. Some items incorporate Alpenliebe’s recognizable swirl design and elements from its “Fruit Chewy” candies to strengthen brand identity. All products are made with high-quality ingredients to ensure rich flavor and smooth consistency.
Meilun’s chairman, Mr. Cao, highlighted that the collaboration combines Alpenliebe’s iconic flavors with Meilun’s manufacturing expertise to create innovative, recognizable, and trustworthy products that bring a familiar taste in a new format.
