Apparel Group announces partnership to bring Australian Brand Cotton On to India

Apparel Group has announced a landmark partnership with Cotton On, Australia’s largest global fashion and lifestyle brand, marking Cotton On’s entry into India. The collaboration expands Apparel Group’s portfolio and will introduce the brand through a phased omnichannel rollout, including physical stores, a dedicated e-commerce platform, and key digital marketplaces.

Retail expertise 

The partnership combines Apparel Group India’s retail expertise and infrastructure with Cotton On’s relaxed “Aussie” lifestyle and trend-driven fashion, targeting India’s fast-growing, youth-driven premium market. A simplified operating model and Apparel Group’s advanced logistics network will support faster speed-to-market and efficient nationwide distribution.

Leaders from both companies highlighted India as a high-potential market and described the partnership as a long-term growth opportunity. Apparel Group emphasized its strategy of scaling globally relevant brands through disciplined execution and strong consumer insight, while Cotton On noted the advantage of entering India with an experienced local partner.

Operating in more than 20 countries

Apparel Group operates over 2,500 stores and 85+ brands globally, including 300+ stores across 50 Indian cities. Cotton On operates in more than 20 countries with 1,300 stores and 20,000 team members worldwide.

Driven by its purpose to create positive change, Cotton On also brings its philanthropic arm, the Cotton On Foundation (est. 2007), which has raised over ₹1,100 crore globally to support Education, Mental Health, and Environmental initiatives. The Foundation will launch in India in partnership with Apparel Group.
