Atari relocates its headquarters to Luxembourg
Video game company Atari has approved the relocation of its headquarters from France to Luxembourg after a shareholder vote.
At a general meeting held on 27 May 2026, 95.25% of shareholders supported the move. This decision follows earlier plans announced in February 2026 and is part of a broader corporate restructuring strategy, including a reverse stock split and adjustments to the company’s legal structure.
Timing of the relocation process
The relocation process is expected to be completed around July 2026. Shareholders who opposed the decision have been granted a withdrawal right, allowing them to sell their shares back to the company at a fixed price of around €24 per share, provided they act within the specified deadline.
Why moving to Luxembourg
The company argues that the move to Luxembourg will provide a more flexible legal and regulatory framework and better align with its international operations. The change is part of Atari’s ongoing effort to stabilize and restructure its business after years of financial and strategic transformation.
The decision marks a significant shift in the company’s corporate identity, as Atari continues to evolve its structure while maintaining its listing on Euronext Growth Paris.
