Back to Hogwarts 2026: Global celebrations announced

The Wizarding World has unveiled its plans for Back to Hogwarts 2026, with a wide range of events and activities taking place around the world to celebrate the annual fan tradition on 1 September.

Back to Hogwarts Showcase

The celebrations will culminate in the Back to Hogwarts Showcase, which will be streamed live on the official Harry Potter YouTube and TikTok channels and promises special surprises and announcements from across the Harry Potter universe.

This year's celebrations also mark the 25th anniversary of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, with the film returning to cinemas worldwide.

New fan celebration

In London, HBO Max will host a new fan celebration inspired by the upcoming HBO Original series, while Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter will feature special countdown broadcasts, themed activities and exclusive experiences throughout the day.

Back to Hogwarts events

Official Back to Hogwarts events will also take place in several countries, including France, Italy, Spain, Germany, China, Australia and Japan, with additional details to be announced.

Fans visiting the Harry Potter Shops in New York and Chicago can take part in special countdown celebrations, while Universal theme parks around the world will offer exclusive experiences, themed food and beverages, limited-edition merchandise and special entertainment throughout the Back to Hogwarts season.

According to the Wizarding World, more announcements and event details will be revealed in the coming weeks as the celebrations approach.
