BBC Studios and LEGO Entertainment launch new ‘LEGO Bluey Shorts’ series
BBC Studios and LEGO Entertainment have announced a new animated short-form series, LEGO Bluey Shorts, bringing 10 iconic moments from Bluey to life in LEGO brick form.
10 two-minute episodes
The series consists of 10 two-minute episodes and was launched on the official Bluey YouTube channel, the official LEGO YouTube channel, the LEGO Little Ones YouTube channel, and Bluey.TV, with new episodes set to debut weekly. At launch, the series is available in 12 languages, including English, German, French, Japanese, Mandarin, and Spanish (Latin America).
Fan-favorite scenes
According to BBC Studios, the shorts recreate fan-favorite scenes from Bluey while combining the humor, heart, and imaginative play that define both the Bluey and LEGO brands. The episodes reimagine memorable moments from stories including Queens, Magic Xylophone, Musical Statues, Sleepytime, and The Beach.
A new way to experience Bluey’s adventures
Jasmine Dawson, Senior Vice President of Digital at BBC Studios, said the collaboration celebrates the shared themes of creativity and play at the core of both brands. Jill Wilfert, Senior Vice President of Entertainment Partners & Content at the LEGO Group, added that the partnership offers families a new way to experience Bluey’s adventures through LEGO-inspired storytelling.
The series is created, written, animated, and post-produced in Brisbane, Australia, with support from Screen Australia, Screen Queensland, and the Australian Government. Internationally, outside Australia, New Zealand, and China, Bluey is distributed by BBC Studios under its global agreement with Disney Branded Television.
