BBC Studios and Moose Toys renew global licensing partnership
BBC Studios has renewed its global licensing partnership with Moose Toys, extending Moose Toys’ role as the global master toy partner for the popular children’s franchise Bluey. The multi-year agreement comes ahead of the franchise’s first-ever feature film, scheduled for release in 2027.
Strong global success
The renewal builds on the strong global success of Bluey-branded toys, which have received significant consumer demand and industry recognition. Recent achievements include awards for the Bluey Supermarket playset and continued growth of the franchise across streaming, retail, and digital platforms.
Support the next phase of Bluey’s expansion
BBC Studios and Moose Toys stated that the partnership will support the next phase of Bluey’s expansion through new toys, games, plush products, and collectibles tied to the brand’s 2026 “Playdates with Friends” theme. Upcoming products include a large interactive Heeler House playset, themed figure packs, cruise ship playsets, and collectible mini figures.
One of the most-streamed titles
The announcement also highlights Bluey’s continued global popularity. The series remained one of the most-streamed titles in the United States in 2025 and continues to perform strongly on platforms including Disney+, CBeebies, ABC, and Disney Channel internationally. The franchise is also expanding through live experiences, online content, and collaborations with Disney.
The first-ever Bluey movie is planned for worldwide theatrical release on August 6, 2027, marking a major milestone for the franchise as it continues to grow into a global family entertainment brand.
