Boomerang renamed to Cartoonito
Warner Bros. Discovery has released a rebranding of Boomerang to Cartoonito for the Nordic countries, Turkey, the Middle East and North Africa.
Since September fourth, the preschool entertainment channel Boomerang has been available in Sweden, Denmark and Norway, as well as in Turkey, the Middle East and North Africa as a pay-TV offering under the name Cartoonito.
Promoting intergenerational television
Cartoonito is Warner Bros. Discovery's programming division for children ages 2-6. By reimagining some of Warner Bros. Discovery's franchises with preschool-appropriate spin-offs, Cartoonito aims to promote intergenerational television and foster creativity, teamwork and inclusion with characters everyone knows and loves.
Old classics and new promising shows
In addition to longtime classics from the likes of Tom & Jerry, Mr. Bean and Masha and the Bear, programs like Thomas and Friends: All Engines Go and Lucas the Spider will join the new Cartoonito brand, as well as brand new shows like Batwheels, Bugs Bunny Builders and Interstellar Ella, offering an even greater variety of programming for the whole family.
