BRUDER marks 50 years as a global toy brand

In 2025, BRUDER Spielwaren celebrated its 50th anniversary as an independent brand together with international partners and customers. The family-owned company also achieved its revenue target, closing the year with sales of €92 million, up 2.7% year on year. Despite ongoing global uncertainties, rising costs, and US tariffs, BRUDER starts the new year with confidence at the 75th Nuremberg International Toy Fair.

From local manufacturer to global player

Since its first appearance at the Nuremberg Toy Fair 50 years ago, BRUDER has grown from a regional supplier into a globally recognized manufacturer of model toys. Today, BRUDER products are sold in over 60 countries worldwide, underlining the company’s strong international presence.

Market challenges and counterfeiting

Geopolitical tensions, high energy and raw material costs, and increasing labor expenses continue to put pressure on profitability. At the same time, the industry faces growing challenges from unregulated low-cost imports and product counterfeits from Asia. In 2025, a BRUDER imitation received the negative “Plagiarius” award, highlighting ongoing issues around intellectual property protection.

Investment, innovation, and sustainability

BRUDER continues to invest in long-term competitiveness. In 2025, investments amounted to around 8% of annual revenue, focusing on new product development, energy-efficient production, and logistics. For 2026, BRUDER announces 16 new products across multiple price segments.

International markets and workforce

Exports accounted for 66% of sales in 2025, with Germany remaining the strongest individual market. While several European markets and the US were affected by geopolitical developments and tariffs, BRUDER maintains a stable workforce of around 470 employees and a strong commitment to vocational training.

New products for 2026

At the Nuremberg Toy Fair, BRUDER presents 16 new products across five themed worlds. Highlights include new ROADMAX vehicles for children under three, the versatile VarioCar municipal vehicle range, new agricultural models, and the MB Sprinter Police Special Forces vehicle.
