CAA Brand Management acquires Beanstalk
CAA Brand Management is acquiring the brand licensing agency Beanstalk. According to CAA, the merger will create the world’s largest brand development and licensing agency. Earlier this year, Beanstalk was purchased by its management team and an investor group led by Jason Epstein, after previously belonging to the Omnicom Group. Omnicom had acquired Beanstalk in 2005 from Ford, which had bought the agency in 2001 to expand its licensing efforts for automotive brands.
Beanstalk will be fully integrated into CAA Brand Management. Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed. Beanstalk CEO Allison Ames will become co-president alongside CAABM CEO Perry Wolfman and president Noah Gelbart.
“CAA Brand Management and Beanstalk share a common belief in the power of creativity, collaboration, and integrity to create lasting brand value,” said Perry Wolfman, CEO of the unit, in a prepared statement.
