Casa Batlló appoints WildBrain to expand global licensing program
Casa Batlló, the iconic UNESCO World Heritage site designed by Antoni Gaudí, has appointed WildBrain CPLG to expand its global licensing programme outside of China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. The partnership aims to bring the artistic identity and cultural significance of Casa Batlló to international audiences through a wide range of consumer products and collaborations.
One of Barcelona’s most celebrated cultural landmarks
Welcoming nearly two million visitors each year, Casa Batlló is considered one of Barcelona’s most celebrated cultural landmarks. Through this collaboration, WildBrain CPLG will focus on developing high-quality licensing partnerships across categories such as fashion, accessories, home décor, stationery, confectionery, gifts, and lifestyle products.
Collaboration between Inditex and Zara
The programme launches with a collaboration between Inditex and Zara, featuring a limited-edition collection of Casa Batlló t-shirts inspired by Gaudí’s colourful “trencadís” mosaic style and the building’s distinctive organic architecture. The collection highlights Casa Batlló’s lasting influence on art, fashion, and contemporary design.
Extend Gaudí’s creative legacy
According to Casa Batlló’s Head of Licenses & Collaborations, Marina Porte, the partnership is intended to extend Gaudí’s creative legacy beyond the building itself while remaining true to its artistic and cultural values. Pau Pascual from WildBrain CPLG emphasized that the goal is to create collaborations that respect Casa Batlló’s architectural heritage while expanding its global cultural presence.
