Chiikawa announces 2027 Happy Bag for Year of the Sheep
Gray Parka Service, the official merchandise partner behind Chiikawa Market, has announced that pre-orders for the annual Chiikawa Happy Bag 2027 (Year of the Sheep) will open on August 26. While the New Year’s lucky bag has traditionally been popular with fans in Japan, the 2027 edition will be available to international customers for the first time.
The new edition celebrates 2027 as the Year of the Sheep with three zodiac-themed plush toys featuring Chiikawa, Hachiware and Usagi. The characters are dressed in fluffy sheep-inspired designs. The set also includes a Sheared Wool Mascot Plush, featuring Chiikawa after its wool has been sheared to make yarn.
Happy Bag contains 12 items
In total, the Happy Bag contains 12 items, combining collectible merchandise with everyday accessories. The lineup includes a 100% cotton face towel, an acrylic stand, a seven-piece connected acrylic keychain, Kurimanju’s Shopping List reusable whiteboard, a photo booth-style acrylic sticker, a Hachiware mini tote bag and a postcard book featuring 14 designs. The complete set comes packaged in a large outer tote bag that can also be used separately.
The Chiikawa Happy Bag 2027 has a reference price of ¥10,000, excluding taxes and duties. Pre-orders are open from August 26 at 11:00 a.m. JST until September 2 at 11:59 a.m. JST, with shipping expected to begin from mid-December 2026. Delivery dates may vary depending on the destination.
International launch
For the international launch, Chiikawa Market will ship directly to customers overseas, meaning fans do not need to use proxy-shopping or forwarding services. The online store supports multiple languages, local currencies and payment methods, while applicable taxes, duties and fees are calculated at checkout.
Chiikawa was created by illustrator Nagano and has grown from a manga series originally launched on X into a global franchise. The brand has more than 4.97 million followers on X, while its television anime has been airing on Fuji TV since April 2022.
