CoComelon introduces “Nina’s Familia”

New addition to the CoComelon universe. Fan favorite Nina, JJ's classmate, gets her own spinoff.  "Nina's Familia" features the perspective of the Reyes family, a bilingual multi-generational Mexican-American family.

The style of the series remains the same: With three-minute songs and nursery rhymes, children now experience stories about family, social-emotional learning, positivity and healthy habits from the perspective of "Nina's Familia."

Employees from different Latin backgrounds

It wasn't an accident that Moonbug Entertainment, chose Nina's family for their next spin-off series. "Moonbug has a lot of employees from different Latine backgrounds," says Anthony Falcón, the creative lead behind Nina's Familia. His own Mexican-American heritage played a big part in bringing Nina's Familia to life.

Bilingual series

One of the series' distinguishing features will be that much of it will be either partially or entirely in Spanish. "We wanted to make sure we were showing a bilingual household," Falcón explains in an interview with Parents. "About 70% of the episodes of Nina's Familia are entirely in English and about 30% of the episodes are in various forms of Spanish."

Nina's Familia will be published on YouTube.
