Disney celebrates World Princess Week worldwide with numerous highlights

On August 25, Ana Kohler crowns the week with the release of the modern up-beat song "Like a Princess" in a German and English version. The song reflects the values and strengths of the Disney Princesses and is meant to inspire children to be brave when trying new things, to never give up and to show courage when facing challenges. Many young as well as adult Disney Princesses fans, like Ana Kohler herself, can relate to the lyrics, each of which is related to a Disney Princess.

The song "Like a Princess" was written by Ana Kohler together with a team consisting of Damian Ketteler, Pascal Martin, Samuel Ledet and Janina Beyerlein. The German lyrics were written by Michael Ernst. The song will be released globally on August 25 in the "Disney Princess" playlist available on all major streaming portals. It will also be available in other languages, including Italian and French, through local talent.

World Princess Week offers young as well as adult princess fans a whole host of celebrations that will use the song "Like a Princess" in a wide variety of ways, taking fans beyond the week and into September.

On free TV, Disney Channel will show Disney Princess movies every Friday and Saturday at 20:15 throughout August as part of Disney Channel Favorite Movies. In addition, "Disney100: Princesses Day" will be celebrated on Saturday, August 26, when Disney Princesses movies will be shown all day from 08:30.

Of course, the streaming service Disney+ invites fans to stream Disney Princess movies at home or on the go not only during World Princess Week, and presents exciting new content featuring the Disney Princesses in August. In addition, as an absolute highlight, a stunning, newly restored version of Walt Disney's 1950 animation classic "Cinderella" will be released on Disney+ on August 25.

In Disney Consumer Products Games and Publishing, too, the month of August is all about Disney princesses. With its own toys, cosmetics and food products, fashion collections and print titles, a wide range of products will be available from various retail partners.

Disneyland Paris is also celebrating World Princess Week with a few surprises and "Like a Princess" will be heard throughout the parks.
