Disney extends Winnie the Pooh’s 100th anniversary celebrations
Disney is extending its yearlong celebration of Winnie the Pooh’s 100th anniversary with new products, publishing releases, storytelling experiences and brand collaborations. The milestone marks 100 years since A.A. Milne’s original book was published in October 1926.
Global campaign
The global campaign launched earlier this year with original content, experiential activations, creator-led storytelling and refreshed “Pooh-isms.” According to Disney, Winnie the Pooh remains one of its most enduring global franchises, with strong consumer interest across demographics.
Recent product launches include anniversary plush toys from Just Play, a Disney Darlings interactive baby doll from JAKKS Pacific, a blind box series from POP MART, apparel from BoxLunch and collections from Vera Bradley, Stoney Clover Lane and Disney Store.
Further launches span children’s and adult apparel, beauty, accessories and lifestyle products. Partners include Posh Peanut, Her Universe, Mad Beauty, The Crème Shop, UNIQLO, Pandora and Loungefly.
Expanded publishing lineup
Disney is also expanding its publishing lineup with titles celebrating Pooh’s messages of kindness, friendship and wonder. New releases include Winnie the Pooh: 100 Mindful Moments from Penguin Random House, alongside books from Random House Children’s Books, Insight Editions and DK.
Other anniversary activities include themed experiences at Daily Provisions Manhattan West from October 9–11, the debut of new Playdate with Winnie the Pooh shorts on Disney+ on October 9, and a partnership with Pubity Group for meme-led social content. A new adventure pack, Disney Dreamlight Valley: Honeyglow Woods, is also available for the game Disney Dreamlight Valley.
