Disney plans to double parks spending by 2033

Over the next decade, Disney will increase spending on its theme parks to create new attractions, parks and cruise ships for its entertainment business. In total, the company will invest nearly $60 billion in park growth.

Attracting new visitors

In the process, several untapped franchises and characters will be activated for new attractions at Disney parks worldwide. Among them are Black Panther's fictional setting of Wakanda and the world of Coco.

1.000 acres and two ships

More than 1,000 acres of land are available to the company for future development projects at its six parks around the world - the equivalent of seven new Disneyland parks, according to company figures. Disney also plans to add two new ships to its cruise fleet, with one scheduled to sail in fiscal 2025 and another in 2026.

Three-day summit

During a three-day summit at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida, Disney CEO Bob Iger and Parks, Experiences and Products Chairman Josh D'Amaro presented the plan to analysts and investors.
