Early Bluey artwork and movie designs revealed
Early sketches and behind-the-scenes footage from Bluey have been unveiled at D23 during a panel featuring creator Joe Brumm, co-director Richard Jeffery and The Bluey Movie producer Amber Naismith.
The presentation included some of Brumm’s earliest character designs, as well as previously unseen footage from an early version of the Season 1 episode “The Weekend,” showing how the episode evolved into its final form.
Fans were also given a first look at early artwork for The Bluey Movie, including Bluey’s home, the surrounding neighbourhood and several garden bugs. The movie will bring the series’ familiar artwork into 3D CG for the first time and is set to hit cinemas on August 6, 2027.
