FIFA announces official free quiz game for Women's World Cup to promote the game and history of the competition
Just in time for the Women's World Cup, the top football governing body, FIFA, has announced a new officially licensed video game called "Matchday Challenge“.
The Women's World Cup kicks off on July 20- Matchday Challenge, an online quiz game, was developed by Matchday to promote it and further ignite excitement for the event.
The goal of the game is to raise awareness of women's soccer through general questions and to educate players about the history of women's soccer.
The game can be played in different modes. In one mode, a timer is started at the beginning of the game, and a goal is awarded for each correct answer.
Players can earn virtual trading cards this way, to see them players have to log in.
In the second mode, players can predict the outcome of the upcoming World Cup.
They have to predict the winning team and the final result of the matches.
FIFA launched Matchday last December for the Men's World Cup- according to Matchday, the game had 600,000 players. Fans can join the game directly through Challenge.matchday.com.
Players also have a chance to win exclusive real-world soccer prizes and coupons for the FIFA Store.
