First immersive Candy Land experience to open in New York
The first Candy Land retail experience in the United States will open in New York City later this month. Developed by Event Network under licence from Hasbro, Candy Land NYC will bring the classic children’s board game, first launched in 1949, to life through an immersive candy-themed shopping experience.
Themed areas
Visitors will follow the game’s path through themed areas, including the Candied Apple Orchard, Gummy Mountains, Chocolate Caves, Lollipop Forest and Ice Cream Beach. The experience culminates at the Candy Castle, featuring graham cracker-inspired textures, swirled ice cream turrets and oversized lollipops.
Guests will encounter sweet surprises along the way, with the opportunity to explore the colourful environments and purchase treats.
Partnership with Hasbro
Larry Gilbert, CEO of Event Network, said the experience was created in partnership with Hasbro to celebrate the popular game, appeal to longtime fans and introduce it to new audiences.
Matt Proulx, Hasbro’s Senior Vice President of Global Experiences, Partnerships and Music, said the project offers families a new way to experience the brand and brings the game’s imaginative world to life.
