fischer celebrates 75th anniversary

From a workshop to a world market leader in important fields of fixing technology - this is how the successful development of the family-owned company fischer can be summarised since its foundation in 1948. In the past 40 years in particular, the medium-sized company, which was still strongly focussed on Germany and plastic fixings, has successfully developed into a globally active group of companies under the leadership of Prof. Klaus Fischer. The family-owned company is characterised by its innovative strength, through which it continually opens up new products and business fields. The company's own fischer InnovationCampus also serves this purpose.Once again, the success story was demonstrated in the last financial year. For the first time in the company's history, fischer closed the year with a turnover of over one billion euros (1.14 billion euros) across all divisions.

Supplier of teaching aids and educational toys

fischertechnik is, among other things, a manufacturer of high-quality and innovative educational toys "Made in Germany". The construction sets have been on the market since 1965 and are just as popular in children's rooms as they are in schools and educational institutions worldwide. Many schools use the learning concepts of fischertechnik education not only in their regular lessons but also in their study groups to carry out projects or to take part in competitions. 

Internationalisation is consistently expanded

The group works worldwide with a focus on results for the benefit of customers and users.The family-owned company generates about 80 percent of its turnover outside Germany.With 51 companies in 39 countries, the fischer group of companies is successfully represented on the market and exports to over 120 countries.Further national companies are to be added. Company owner Prof. Klaus Fischer is thus consistently developing the internationalisation of the group.Since he took over the overall management 43 years ago, he has steadily expanded the internationalisation of the business activities. At that time, the turnover was the equivalent of about 50 million euros, generated by about 1,000 employees. In 2022, the fischer group of companies, with around 5,600 employees worldwide, broke the one billion euro sales mark for the first time.
