Formula 1 exhibition comes to Mexico City

Opening on March 20, 2026, at Yama Punta Museo, The Formula 1 Exhibition will arrive in Mexico City, offering visitors an immersive exploration of Formula 1 across its past, present, and future. Produced by Round Room Live and Pathfinder and presented by Fever, the world’s leading platform for cultural and live entertainment discovery, the exhibition promises a one-of-a-kind experience for fans of all generations.

A global success story

Following its debut in Mexico, the exhibition continues an impressive international journey that began with its world premiere in Madrid, Spain, where it became the most visited temporary exhibition of 2023. This success was followed by record-setting openings in Vienna and Toronto, and later by its London debut in August 2024, where it received the “Best Visitor Experience” award at the Access All Areas Awards. In 2025, the exhibition expanded further with its South American premiere in Buenos Aires and the launch of its Asia Pacific tour in Melbourne. With more than one million visitors already welcomed, the exhibition brings Formula 1® closer to fans both devoted and new, offering an intimate perspective beyond the racetrack.

Formula 1 and its special connection to Mexico

Formula 1 occupies a unique place in Mexico’s sporting culture. The Mexico City Grand Prix is widely regarded as one of the most iconic events on the championship calendar, with the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez hosting some of the most memorable races in recent history. This strong connection is reinforced by an enthusiastic fan base and a rising generation of Latin American drivers contributing to the sport’s growth throughout the region.

An immersive storytelling experience

Spanning more than 2,000 square metres, the exhibition unfolds across six purpose-built rooms created in collaboration with award-winning curators, artists, and filmmakers. Together, they deliver a powerful narrative experience that reveals the innovation, drama, and human stories behind Formula 1.

A Mexico cCty exclusive

For its Mexico City presentation, the exhibition will include a specially curated local room highlighting the nation’s iconic circuit and its racing heroes. This space will celebrate figures such as Sergio Pérez, Mexico’s most successful Formula 1 driver, who returns to the grid this season. Additional details about this room will be announced soon.

A journey through the history and emotion of Formula 1

The visitor experience begins at the Pit Wall, a visually striking and immersive cinematic installation that allows fans to relive some of the most legendary moments in Formula 1 history.

Iconic moments and engineering excellence

From there, guests enter Once Upon a Time in Formula 1, a gallery featuring rare photography, historic race cars, original artefacts, and audiovisual installations that capture the defining moments of the sport. In the Design Lab, visitors step into the inner workings of a Formula 1® factory to learn how teams engineer and construct their cars each season.

Drivers, rivalries, and sacrifice

Drivers & Duels focuses on the sport’s most celebrated drivers, historic rivalries, and unforgettable races since Formula 1 began in 1950. Fallen Heroes honors the drivers who lost their lives in the pursuit of success at the highest level of motorsport.

Survival and resilience

The journey concludes with Survival, an intense exploration of Romain Grosjean’s 2020 Bahrain Grand Prix crash. This gallery displays the remains of his Haas car alongside a powerful multi-screen installation, featuring exclusive interviews and previously unseen footage that document one of the sport’s most dramatic moments.
