"Genius Brands" renames iself to "Kartoon Studios"

Genius Brands International, Inc. ("Genius Brands") has announced its name change to 'Kartoon Studios“.

In this regard, the Company plans to move its listing from the Nasdaq Capital Market ("Nasdaq") to the NYSE American ("NYSE American"). 

Kartoon Studios is expected to commence trading on NYSE American upon the opening of the markets on Monday, June 26, 2023. 

The Company also reports that "Stan Lee" will ring the opening bell of the NYSE on June 26th via animation, reflecting the focus on Kartoon Studios' intellectual property 

created by "Stan Lee" in the future. Anyone wishing to join the celebration can watch the bell ring on the NYSE American Stock Exchange via livestream on the Kartoon Channel!

Through its investment in Stan Lee Universe, the company controls Stan Lee's name, likeness, signature, consumer licensing and post-Marvel IP, 

which it has begun marketing, starting with a 20-year license to Marvel and the Walt Disney Company and a major branding initiative to commemorate Stan's 100th birthday at San Diego Comic-Con in July 2023.

At the same time, the company is expanding its content to a broader audience, from young children to young adults. This includes the recently launched hit series Shaq's Garage on Pluto TV, starring and co-produced by NBA legend Shaquille O'Neal, which is aimed at a younger audience.
