Golden Sombrero: Uglydoll relaunch

Golden Sombrero Licensing & Consulting will oversee the relaunch of Uglydoll as its official partner. The aim is to reintroduce these distinctive and unique characters to a new audience. 

Debut in 2001

Since its launch in 2001, Uglydoll has evolved from a cult designer toy, which has been exhibited at MoMA among other places,into a global phenomenon.  

Relaunch in 2025

Uglydoll plans to make a comeback in retail this year with classic bestsellers, fan favorites, and new characters. Shortly thereafter, surprise boxes with mini figures will also return, followed by a more comprehensive introduction of lifestyle licenses in 2026. The brand's focus will shift back to Asia, while collectors, fans, and specialty retailers worldwide will continue to be involved.
