Goldin: spotlight on Logan Paul’s Pikachu Illustrator card
Goldin, the international auction house known for high-profile collectible sales, has announced it will open its upcoming Pokémon and trading card game auction earlier than planned due to strong global demand. The auction will now launch on Jan. 5, 2026 at 8:00 p.m. ET, instead of the originally scheduled Jan. 12 date, and will run through Feb. 15.
Centerpiece created by Atsuko Nishida
The centerpiece of the auction is Logan Paul’s Pikachu Illustrator card, the only known copy graded PSA 10. Consigned by Paul, the card is widely considered the most valuable and prestigious Pokémon card ever produced and is featured in Netflix’s King of Collectibles: The Goldin Touch. Created by Pikachu’s original illustrator Atsuko Nishida, the card was awarded to winners of a 1998 Japanese illustration contest and is distinguished by unique artwork and a special pen symbol.
More than 300 lots
The auction includes more than 300 lots, featuring graded Pokémon cards and rare items from across the TCG space. Highlights include a 1999 Pokémon Base Set 1st Edition Holo Charizard, a factory-sealed 1999 Base Set booster box, and a signed and framed original artwork by Ken Sugimori linked to Pokémon’s 10th Anniversary event in New York.
