Goliath Secures Multi-Year Agreement with Hasbro for Mastermind Game

Goliath Games has secured worldwide manufacturing and distribution rights for the strategy game "Mastermind" through a new multi-year agreement with Hasbro

Marketing campaign targeting a new generation of players

The deal adds another classic title to Goliath's collection, which already includes popular family games like "Sequence" and "Triominos." "Mastermind," a code-breaking puzzle game first released in 1970, has been sold in 100 countries and has maintained its popularity among strategy enthusiasts for over five decades. This partnership allows Goliath to leverage "Mastermind's" established reputation while bringing new energy to the brand. This includes a fresh marketing campaign targeting a new generation of players through a dynamic social strategy aimed at driving discovery, conversation and connection.

Board games bring families together across generations

"At Goliath, we've always believed in the power of classic board games to bring families together across generations," says Jochanan Golad, chief executive officer, Goliath. "Mastermind has been a beloved mainstay for decades, and we're excited to introduce new ideas to the next generation of codebreakers and codemakers."

The Netherlands-based game company plans to revitalize the "Mastermind" brand with fresh marketing initiatives specifically designed to attract younger players. This will include a comprehensive social media strategy focused on building community engagement and introducing the classic puzzle game to new audiences.
